I love combining Basic Gray and Summer Starfruit! Don’t you agree that these colours were made to go together! Today’s card is extra special because it features my CLUE for the Late Night Stampers Spring 2013 Treasure Hunt. Quick and simple is definitely my modus operandi when it comes to stamping! I struggle with creating cards that are heavily embellished despite the fact that I adore them. This card really speaks to my personal stamping style as I’m sure you’ve noticed if you are a regular follower of my blog, plus it really shows off some of the great Sale-a-bration FREEBIES!
I have started with a Basic Gray base layered with an embossed layer of Basic Gray using the Vine Street Embossing Folder (130492 $FREE). I’ve stamped the elephant image from Patterned Occasions (Wood 129621 $FREE, Clear 129624 $FREE) in Basic Gray onto Whisper White and then punched it out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch (120906 $22.95). I’ve accented the elephant with an In Color Dahlia (127556 $9.95) and run a strip of 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon in Summer Starfruit (126846 $12.25) across the card for some finishing touches in addition to adding a Summer Starfruit circle cut with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch (119860 $21.95).
